How to film a thriller?
When a thriller is made, many techniques are used to make this. Examples of this can be high angle, low angle, point of view, tracking shot, close up, digetic sound and more. These techniques creates tension, and thrills the audience and creates the feeling of the actor in the filming.
Also fast editing is used in most thriller films to show the action and tension during the film. this excites the audience and wants them to carry on watching and see whats next. The pace of the editing always depends the mood of the film. when its fast, its exciting, scary and thrilling. However when the pace is slow this can cause a mysterious mood and silent.
With sound, thrillers use music very effectively. The type of the music can show if something bad is going to happen, and always makes it tense for the characters and the audience. Also the sound can show how the character is feeling and some shows deep suspense. Also special effects, of foot steps, water drops, breathing, screaming and more.
With camera shots, low angle and high angle shots can show if he is strong powerful, or venerable and weak. Point of view shots excite the audience because it shows what the character can see and the audience can experience it.
Also the environment of the area it is filmed. If the thriller was filmed in a bright, happy environment, it wouldn't be a thriller. However, if its filmed in a empty environment, in a dark gloomy area, this is thrilling and makes for the film, also props what are used such as weapons.
