No Country For Old Men






The opening scene is when a mysterious man has got arrested and is taken in. He then commits murder and escapes. Also he has a mysterious gas canister what he uses to escape and uses it and kills a civilian to steal there car.

This is the start of the film, later a drug deal has gone wrong, with a lot of money gone missing, a man comes and find it, he is then on the run from the mystery man who's looking for this stolen money, it later gets crucial, and intense of who will survive at the end of it.

Mise en scene:
In the opening scene the location is in a deserted area in the desert. There is a sheriff is a sheriff costume, and a mysterious man who is handcuffed with a gas canister. Sheriff drives car to the station. Sheriff on phone. Mysterious man uses handcuff to strangle sheriff and blood is everywhere.
Mysterious man uses sheriff car and pulls over a innocent man. Uses gas canister to murder innocent man and steals the car.

- steady cam (sheriff takes the man  to the car)
- long shot ( when car drives away)
- steady cam (sheriff is on the phone)
- low angle (to show man i powerful over the sheriff)
- high angle shot (man washes hands)
- point of view (man driving sheriff car)

Editing:
At the start of the opening scene, the editing is slow, its around average of 10 seconds per scene. But at the part where the man strangles the sheriff to death the pace of editing gets faster and faster and creates tension. The average at this scene is an average of 2 seconds. After the murder then pace begins to get slower again at ab average o 6-7 seconds. throughout the scene the style is straight cut. Theirs no fade, wipe and dissolve shot in the scene.
