Mise en scene
At the start opening scene of brick, it starts with leaving the audience confused with a mysterious start. With a teenage boy wearing scruffy clothing, long hair and glasses, on his knees in a tunnel with water. you then see a body of a girl on the floor.

Editing 
The opening scene is very short, the pace of the editing is very slow, this is done because its a mysterious scene, what has happened?? Theirs an average of 9 shots.

Camera
At the start of the scene it starts with, a close up shot of the teenagers face, then there's a establish shot what shows you the tunnel, the body and the teenager himself. There's many close up shots of the girls body on the floor, there's a close up on her leg and the back of her head.

Sound 
During the whole scene theirs not much sound, theirs no digetic sound, however during the whole scene from start to finish there's a non-digetic sound of music.
